A superb Vintage Rolex Explorer, model reference 1016/0.
This is a c1972 supplied watch (case number 296****) with Mk1 matte black tritium dial with Mercedes hands. Presented on a steel Rolex oyster bracelet. Its also water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters.
This watch was last purchased from vintage Rolex legend, Mike Wood at The Old Watch Shop in Southport on the 18th of August in 2020. The sales invoice is included.
The owner returned the watch to Rolex UK for a full service. To maintain the waterproof characteristics, a new case middle and case back was supplied. A new bracelet was supplied too, we have the original 7836 folded Oyster bracelet is included. The service was carried out late in 2010 at a cost of £2946.99, the sales invoice is included.
The change of case middle carries a new case number. We have the letter from Rolex UK confirming the case number change. It confirms the original number and the subsequent replacement number.
In excellent condition, its complete with the original Rolex box, booklets, swing-tag, spare Rolex oyster bracelet, sales invoice, Rolex service invoice, and a Rolex service card.
