1983 Crown Collection Day-Date 18198 : 18198

A fine and rare Rolex Day-Date, model reference 18198.
This Day-Date was part of the Crown Collection and launched in 1983, what we now refer to as ‘off catalogue’.
Three models were launched;
18198 a 36mm Day-Date in 18ct yellow gold with triangle cut sapphires, emeralds and rubies.
18178 with square sapphire/emerald/ruby bezel.
18188 with square diamond/sapphire/emerald/ruby bezel.
Our Day-Date was delivered with a champagne ‘pleiade’ diamond dial with ruby hour markers. The President bracelet is factory set with diamond centre links.
The watch is in exceptional original condition. It is unpolished and still has the green Rolex case back sticker in place.
This Day-Date has just returned from Rolex UK where a full mechanical service was completed. The Rolex service warranty extends to July 2028.
Crown Collection Day-Date 18178/18188/18198 are exceptionally rare, with only a handful of these models ever shown before.
