1983 Submariner Matte dial : 16800

Just arrived into stock, a fine Rolex Submariner-Date, model reference 16800. This is the ‘transitional’ Submariner, the first to be fitted with a sapphire crystal. The early models were delivered with the matt dial that you see here (the later have a gloss dial with white metal surrounds to the hour markers). The dial and hands are the correct, original tritium items.

The watch was returned from a full service at Rolex UK on 6th February 2018 and is warranted by Rolex to 6th February 2020. The watch is in excellent condition.

Presented in the original 16800 Rolex ‘moon crater’ box, and accompanied by the Rolex service warranty card and invoice for £475.00 from Rolex at One Hyde Park.
