A pristine Rolex Explorer II, model reference 1655/0.
This is the ‘Orange hand’ Explorer introduced in the early 1970’s. The first in the long line of Rolex Explorer II. The dial detail and the fixed engraved bezel were a departure from the usual professional series models.
This 6.3m serial number watch was supplied new on 28th December 1981 by Addik & Mohamed Attar & Co.
The watch is complete with Rolex boxes, Explorer booklet, green wallet containing ‘Rolex Oyster’ booklet along with the calendar and the punched COSC chronometer certificate.
The dial is the Mk 5, correct for the watch. The bezel is a Mk 4, again correct for the serial number range. The 78360 bracelet is year code T10, being replaced around 1995.
