1980 Explorer II ‘Orange hand’ 1655/0 : 1655/0

A pristine Rolex Explorer II, model reference 1655/0. This is the ‘Orange hand’ explorer introduced in the early 1970’s. This 5.3m serial number watch was supplied new on 3rd January 1980. The watch is complete with the correct Rolex boxes and the punched COSC chronometer certificate. The watch was serviced at Rolex UK in Bexley in June 2005. The watch was serviced again at Rolex UK in 2016. The service included, new clasp, new dial/hands and a new case complete. A replacement case is given a new serial designation starting ’44—–‘.
The watch has seen very little wear since the service in 2016 and is running perfectly.
